Abstract: AI/ML for automation across industry sectors is having a positive impact on productivity. GenAI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and now Perplexity Pro edition being freely available to Airtel users will have millions of user base in a short span. The use cases have been many ranging from content creation, even story writing, hobbies such as song generation, technical troubleshooting & support, learning and education including research analysis. Most of these widely used GenAI bots are deployed on massive IT infrastructure across the globe and are expected to be deployed in Indian boundaries as well. This wide usage of AI/ML at individual level has exposed various security and privacy challenges. The talk will cover some of the recent challenges related to data leakage, privacy compromises, vulnerabilities and hallucination. The talk will also cover some good practices to mitigate the risks associated with these assistants.
Bio: Dr. Lalit Mohan Sanagavrapu is a Chief Product Officer at Quick Heal. He is responsible for envisioning the cyber security requirements of individuals and enterprises and works with Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to deliver the products. Lalit has PhD from IIIT-Hyderabad and worked at IDRBT (an arm established by Reserve Bank of India), Wells Fargo and Infosys. His technical interests are in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, AI/ML, Software Engineering and Banking Technology.
