Abstract: Data privacy concerns are increasing significantly in the context of cloud computing, Internet of things and explosion of AI based applications FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) has experienced significant breakthroughs and widespread adoption in recent years. Despite the rapid adoption and significant push from big players like Microsoft, Google, IBM with FHE libraries, some of the major hurdles are with computing overhead and storage cost. This talk will focus on opportunities for HW acceleration of some of the FHE primitives
Bio: Venugopal Ramamurthy is a second year PhD student in the area of Computer Architecture under the guidance of Dr.Rajesh Kedia. Before starting my PhD program, I had over 25+ years of Industry experience working for Qualcomm, designing and developing wireless protocol software for 4G and 5G modem chipsets.
